What is mediation?

Resolving conflict with dignity and care

Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which a trained, neutral mediator helps people in dispute to communicate and work towards a mutually acceptable resolution.

Unlike court proceedings, mediation is collaborative rather than adversarial. Decision-making stays with the parties — and resolution is typically reached far more quickly, at a fraction of the cost.

Initial Contact

One or both parties contact me. I explain the process and determine whether mediation is suitable.

Pre-Mediation Meetings

I meet separately with each party to understand their perspective and goals in confidence.

Agreement & Follow-Up

Any agreement reached is documented clearly. Follow-up support is available to ensure it is sustained.
