My story

Why I do this work

I became a psychologist and mediator because I saw, again and again, that the right support at the right time changes everything - for children, families, and communities.

I began my career as a classroom teacher. Over 38 years working with children, parents, and communities, I became increasingly aware of how much more was needed beyond the curriculum. I encountered children facing profound challenges - behavioural difficulties, family breakdown, grief, and learning differences - and I realised that without the right skills, even the most well-intentioned support could fall short.

This prompted me to specialise. I pursued guidance and counselling, then a Master's in Educational Psychology. I also trained as a certified professional mediator, having seen first-hand how unresolved conflict damages families, workplaces, and communities - and how skilled facilitation can restore what seemed lost.

Today I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and organisations across Kenya - in-person in Nairobi and online. My approach is holistic, honest, and human. I believe every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and find a way forward.

Voluntary work

I have been serving children with both conflict with the law and contact with the law by actively listening to them without judging them. I affirm my love for them and also guide them to explore coping mechanisms.

I have helped rescue minors who have been defiled and action taken against the culprit.

I'm passionate about supporting young people with behavioural difficulties by providing a safe avenue for expression without judgement, while engaging their parents in the restoration process where possible.

I serve as a children's deacon in my local church, and it has been my delight to see young people grow as Jesus grew: Physically, Cognitively, Spiritually emotionally and socially. (Luke 2:52)
